Description
Mt Soledad is our Light Roast coffee from Guatemala. These beans are true to the Central America region, with a full-body, rich chocolate notes, and toffee-like sweetness. These coffees are known to retain their unique flavors even with a darker roast, which is why we use a different Guatemalan bean in our Espresso.
This coffee is grown in the hills of San Gaspar Chajul. The Coffee Trust was the first Fair Trade, Organic coffee association established in Guatemala. On top of their sustainable farming practices, the Trust provides fair paying jobs for many women of the region.
Mt Soledad is a breathtaking view from one of the highest points in La Jolla. From the top, you can see almost all of San Diego and parts of Tijuana. The lookout is also home to a Military Memorial for Veterans of the Korean War.
