Barrio Logan is our Medium Roasted Nicaraguan coffee. This is one of our few naturally processed coffee beans, meaning the beans are left inside the fruit of the coffee plant until they are dried to an optimal level. Naturally processed coffee tends to have a fruitier flavor and a fuller body.
These beans come the hills of Jinotega, which is known as “The City in the Mist” because there is almost always moisture in the air. The estate has been owned by the same family for over a century and follows the highest standard of sustainability. This coffee is also certified by The Rainforest Alliance.
We named this coffee after Barrio Logan because this coffee is rich in heritage just like the community. Barrio Logan has been re-emerging as a center for art and food in San Diego. It is a very tight nit community that is not afraid to take on any adversity that comes their way.
